What should you know about KanCare?

What should you know about KanCare?

It’s a program for adults and children who meet certain state guidelines. Eligibility is based on your total family income and household size. Once you apply, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment — Division of Health Care Finance (KDHE-DHCF) then reviews your enrollment in KanCare.

As part of your application and if you qualify, you can choose Aetna Better Health of Kansas as your health plan (or MCO). If you don’t choose a health plan at that moment, you’ll still have time to do so. You’ll be sent a form to complete upon approval for KanCare enrollment.
